How is this different from FSH Online?
FSH Online is the official FSH playground. Use it to write FSH and see the FHIR it makes, or to turn FHIR into FSH. The FSH Checker focuses on one job: explaining what SUSHI and the validator say, in plain English, with a fix. Both run SUSHI in your browser.
Which FHIR versions work?
FHIR R4 (4.0.1).
Why does the first check take longer?
The first check downloads the base FHIR package. Your browser keeps it, so later checks are faster.
Why did SUSHI accept my Instance when it is clearly wrong?
SUSHI compiles FSH. It does not check every profile rule. A command-line tool, not available to download yet, will run the validator for that.
Is it free?
Yes. It is free to use, and there is nothing to sign up for. The code is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. See the license page.
Is it made by HL7?
No. It uses tools published by the HL7 community, but it is not made or endorsed by HL7.
Can I add an explanation or a new tool?
The source code is not public yet, so changes cannot be sent in.
